Post Basic Bsc Nursing (2 Years)
Post Basic BSc Nursing (PBBSc) abbreviated as PBB.Sc Nursing is a 2-year undergraduate course for students who want to pursue a career in the field of nursing.

BSc Nursing PB Subjects will prepare students regarding the responsibilities of competent nurses and midwives in teaching promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services. In addition, make independent decisions in nursing situations and conduct research studies, in the areas of nursing practice. Candidates are provided with a holistic mixture of classroom lectures and hands-on training

The curriculum is designed to prepare students for positions such as Nursing Supervisor, Nursing Superintendent, Staff Nurse, and others in the public and private sectors.

BSc Nursing (Post-basic) Subjects:

Students need to understand the subjects of BSc Nursing Post Basic in order to make a conscious decision before doing this course.

BSc Nursing PB First Year Subjects
  • Nursing Foundation: This will help students learn the concept & scope of nursing, values code of ethics & Professional conduct for nurses in India. In addition, learn the concept of health, illness effect on the individual, developmental concepts, needs & roles of the individual.
  • Nutrition And Dietetics: This course is designed to provide the students with a wide knowledge of dietetics in Indian settings and realistic dietary planning can become an integral part of nursing practice. Students will learn the principles and practices of nutrition and dietetics, Plan therapeutic diets in different settings, Identify the nutritional needs of different age groups and plan diets accordingly.
  • Biochemistry And Biophysics: This course introduces the basic principles of biochemistry and biophysics related to nursing. Students will learn topics like Water and Electrolytes, Enzymes, Carbohydrates, Protein, Fat, etc
  • Psychology: This course is designed to help students and widen their student’s knowledge of the fundamentals of psychology, Apply psychological principles while performing nursing duties, Analyze their own behavior patterns.
BSc Nursing PB Second Year Subjects
  • Sociology: This provides students with knowledge related to community and social institutions in India and their relationship with health, illness and nursing. It includes sociological concepts and how to develop positive attitudes towards individuals, families and communities.
  • Community Health Nursing: The course enables the students to understand the national health care delivery system, Identify the role of community health nurses and describe the national health care delivery system.
  • Mental Health Nursing: This course enables the students to recognize and appreciate the causes, symptoms and processes of abnormal human behavior. This includes identifying and describing the philosophy and principles of mental health nursing, Classifying mental disorders, and Managing patients with various mental disorders.
  • Introduction To Nursing Education: Students will learn concepts like the philosophy and principles of education, and the teaching-learning process,. develop the ability to teach, using various methods and media, the process of assessment.
